The below two URL's are used by Micorosoft Windows 10 and maybe Windows 8 as well, they preform testing to determine if the machine has Internet connectivity. Windows has an internal component for network connectivity changes detection called “Network Connectivity Status Indicator” (NCSI as known). This component, among other tasks, performs a background testing to determine if the machine has Internet connectivity, engages his brother, the Network Location Awareness (or NLA), to identify if it’s in a domain or a public network to define the proper firewall profile, etc. Source: ***** Also I've not notice our firewall systems blocks any traffic to these URL's.

NCSI means for Network Connectivity Status Indicator, msfncsi is website where all microsoft windows probing for testing network access. "NCSI is designed to be responsive to network conditions, so it examines the connectivity of a network in a variety of ways. For example, NCSI tests connectivity by trying to connect to http://www.msftncsi.com, a simple Web site that exists only to support the functionality of NCSI." the information could be read in here ***** IP of dns.msftncsi.com :131.107.255.255
