JainRain's MyOpenID has been unavailable for days -- leaving websites that depend on it for authentication unavailable. This simply is not good enough. If you have thousands(?) of people relying on a service provided by a company, why not fix it when it is broken.. or at the very least, provide an estimated time of repair. This has taught us a very valuable lesson - and we are ditching MyOpenID. we're now moving over to Facebook for authentication.

"It is Janrain's policy to respect the privacy of Members. Therefore, Janrain will not disclose to any third party Member's name or contact information." Their privacy policy is one (long) paragraph, simple, easy to understand and ethical. In a nutshell, they will not share, view or monitor your information except for legal or debugging purposes.

I have used myOpenID for quite some time now and it has never sent me many e-mails, or bothered me in anyway. I have just found it very useful when logging into various sites as I do not wish to have hundreds of passwords. Three cheers for the most awesome site of them all!

JanRain has ignored customer complaints about several broken items on the site (such as SSL client cert generation) after repeated attempts to contact them.

Fine site - here one may participate,support OpenID, & make their network stronger. Do it. Another great place for the good guys!

I've had no problem so far but I find it very very suspicious that the confirmation e-mail comes in with links that are all red flags here in WOT. I dunno what to think, we need more opinions on myopenID!

I've received no spam directly from this site. [one of] MyOpenID identity profile has been safe and secure since 2005 with them.
