You geniuses giving a bad review realize "ROYALTY FREE" has nothing to do with giving out free music. This concept has been around since the invention of the radio, it has been around since your fathers were mere twinkles in your grandfather's eyes, and it simply means, instead of you paying a ROYALTY (i.e. a percentage on the profits you make from using the music in your videos) which you pay for decades into the future, instead you pay a lump sum at the beginning for the music eliminating the "royalty" fee structure, therefore making the music ROYALTY FREE, with a lump sum paid to the artist instead. Boggles the mind that you give it a poor rating because of that. Nothing is free in this world; well, utter crap that Youtube lets you use in videos might be, but not decent quality stuff like on Neosounds (for the most part). "Royalty-free, or RF, refers to the right to use copyrighted material or intellectual property without the need to pay royalties or license fees for each use or per volume sold, or some time period of use or sales." What I'm concerned with about NEOSOUNDS, which I hope to get ironed out, is the fact that I keep getting copyright claims for the music I paid for which claim other artists originally created the tracks and the artist I purchased it from via NEOSOUNDS is stealing. I have no way to tell, no way to prove, caught in the middle, whatever, but I'm using them on low level Youtube projects, was hoping to use them on bigger projects, but I have less faith in the "contract" I'm entering into not knowing if even NEOSOUNDS knows if the artists submitting music to them is the legitimate original artist without some sort of robust filtering system in place. Bottom line, I'm sick of getting emails from Youtube saying I'm in the wrong infringing upon some nameless person's copyrighted music when I purchased the rights to use the same music from a different artist which NEOSOUNDS claims I am in the right and there's nothing to worry about. How am I supposed to know? I hope I'm "right" and the artist in question's music is just being rebranded and stepped all over, because I know for a fact he's been producing music since the 90's for ROYALTY FREE purposes, and Youtube just blindly trusts their automated system of ferreting out people that use copyrighted music without permission. Been through this a dozen+ times now (and I always pay for the music to avoid being labeled a copyright infringer) It keeps happening though!
