I've used them for decades. The calendar etc. have worked, but I rely on Thunderbird for that. Two main things I appreciate about them. I wanted to change my email and was prepared to get a new subscription and spend a couple months changing my email on file as things came in. They offered to rename my current account so that I didn't need to change all my aliases (see next) and let me use a dummy acct with my old name while I changed my email record with vendors. I'm not sure who owns the service now, but I appreciated that. The second feature I like is their aliases. I use them a lot for security. You choose a prefix that you can add up to 125 suffixes (vs 10 max that I've seen elsewhere) connected with a "-". If your prefix is "myprefix" and you want to create one for a store, you would create an alias "myprefix-storename@*****". If you don't want to get more mail from 'storename', you should be able to use their 'unsubscribe' function -- but in some cases the store kept sending me mail, so I just deleted the alias. A while ago I saw that gmail had aliases: your gmail name "+storename@gmail.com". I don't know if there's a limit, but anyone or any machine can get your real gmail address from this. Netaddress' user-defined prefix approach prevents anyone from knowing your real usa.net address. The alias feature is important to me. I had to get a gmail account for my android phone, but I hardly use it. And Google's business policies are far too intrusive for me. So I'm glad to pay only $40/year for it. I can handle 11 cents a day.

I've used this site for years and found it to be safe and reliable. We've moved around the country and never had to change our email address.

this has been my email client for many years. It has a robust interface & is feature rich, although it's not free.
