This is to inform the general public about the controversial fraud-hunter and self-appointed medicine-man-buster Al Carroll, aka "Educated Indian," who runs and operates the website newagefraud.org. Carroll is a compulsive liar and an ugly menace to the Native community. He has been kicked off the Internet for violations such as identity theft, sexual harassment, stalking, libel and slander. This fake, diabolical and sinister "Native American" who calls himself "Dr. Alton Carroll" is a charlatan who has never made public his Apache parent(s) family name nor been able to substantiate his claims on the record that one of his parents or grandparents is of Apache origin. WARNING: Do not engage in any on-line dialog with Carroll; he is extremely deranged. Only qualified Carroll "handler's" are encouraged to participate.

Several individuals have had their personal information exposed on this site. The site contains numerous instances of libel/slander and the site owner Alton Carroll has had active libel/slander cases against him and the website for several years. Case# CJ-2009-10887 in Oklahoma County OK is one of the libel/slander cases against this site. The four individuals who administer/moderate the site are not enrolled in any tribe of Native Americans; Alton Carroll (educatedindain), Kathryn Price (yells at pretendians), Deborah Moran (debbieredbear) and Sky Davis (omgsrsly?). Two frequent users of the site who are Native American are Ladonna Allard of ND (earthw7) and Lynn Manning of NV (moma_porcupine). These individuals use several aliases. Sky Davis is also known as Christine Sonya Davis, Christine Weed, and Christine Sparks. Kathryn Price is also known as Kathryn Nicdhana, Kathryn Theatana, and Kathryn Shea. Ladonna Allard is also known as Ladonna Brave Bull. Lynn Manning also posts as 'brings light'. The site is paid for by Alton Carroll who is employed at Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC). Victims of libel/slander by newagefraud.org may contact Dean Lisa Stelle at NVCC lstelle(at)nvcc.edu

The owner of newagefraud.org Alton 'Al' Carroll has been sued for libel/slander over the contents of this message board. The moderators of the site, Kathryn 'Yells at Pretendians' Price, Christine 'Sky' Davis (posting as omgsrsly?), and Deborah 'debbieredbear' Moran routinely alter and delete others posts. The site encourages hate and discrimination against what they term 'nuagers', fake indians, pretendians, twinkies, etc. Due to legal action they have moved the web server severla times. Most recently from anonymous offshore Cyber Cast International in Panama to a Romanian server owned by FlokiNet of Iceland.

Sehr gute Seite!

the owner and the admins use this site for personal vendettas against people who disagree with them on anything. somewhat decent as a research site but certainly not one i would join. there is too much arguing and not enough factual information. apparently they have been accused of lies and slander etc, and from what i have read the accusations were justified. it appears that some very big egos are involved in the running of the site. not recommended!

One of the best, most respected, and most widely referred to activist groups on the net, a multiracial, multicultural, multitribal, and multifaith set of dedicated good people. Take a look at all the traditionalists they work with, respected elders, AIM, and tribal governments. Fighting the good fight, and often winning.

This once venerable organization, saw all their Founders pass away to old age, and now this organization has lost all it integrity, and feel they have the right to speak for native people.-Apukjij

All the negative ratings come from one imposter, a German fraud and exploiter William Jervis who is posing as Arvol Looking Horse. Arvol does NOT post on the internet. He's too busy fighting frauds like Jervis. And he supports NAFPS and works with them. NAFPS fights the good fight and is made up of Native traditionalists, reserve govt, professors, and activists.

Essential website for exposing new age and pseudo-spiritual frauds and criminals. Some scammers have left neg reviews of the site on WOT by posing as respected Native American elders, for example Arvol Looking Horse is a supporter of the site, not a critic. The fraudulent use of his name here is indicative of the challenges faced by this excellent site and also of the frauds and cultural appropriators that the site exposes.

Native people DO NOT believe it is ethical to charge money for any ceremony or teaching. Any who charge you even a penny are NOT authentic. Native traditionalists believe the ONLY acceptable way to transmit traditional teachings is orally and face-to-face. Any allegedly traditional teachings in books or on websites are NOT authentic. Learning medicine ways takes decades and must be done with great caution and patience out of respect for the sacred. Any offer to teach you all you need to know in a weekend seminar or two is wishful thinking at best, fraud at worst. Most of these FRAUDULENT operators are not the slightest bit reputable. Some, such as Robert "Ghostwolf" AKA Robert Franzone and Forrest Carter, have actually been convicted of fraud. Some are sexual predators who prey upon their followers. "Sun Bear" AKA Vincent La Duke was a serial rapist who was facing numerous charges when he died, including the rape of girls as young as fourteen. Women should be extremely wary of any " teacher" who claims sex is part of an alleged "ceremony." Most of these FRAUDULENT operators have been caught making complete fantasies of what many whites WISH natives were like. Another way to say it is that they are outright liars and hoaxers. Some, like Carlos Castaneda, were exposed as long as three decades ago.
