Is newsinslowfrench.com Safe?

I subscribe to News in Slow French. When I tried to access the site today my Webroot virus/malware program flashed scary caution sign that said, "This is a suspicious site. There is a higher than average probability that you will be exposed to malicious links or payloads." If you use Webroot and Google News in Slow French, all of its companion sites that pop up are given an ORANGE button. Green means safe. Yellow suspicious. Orange caution. And red dangerous site. It gives NISF a confidence rating of 90 but an overall rating of ***** (The confidence rating has been upgraded to 99.) See the chart at Webroot's Brightcloud Reputatiion Index. I'm not plugging Webroot. On Wikipedia it ranked only 9 out of 18 products. But with WOT I get 2 evaluations of sites, which I find very useful. I contacted NISF about this problem, and received a response. I was told the site was safe and that competitors lower the overall rating. To be honest, I'm not sure how that works or how such a problem can be resolved. I like the program very much but am still afraid to use it. So I will continue to avoid the site until the overall evaluation improves. I hope the problem can be resolved quickly.
