Is nuance.com Safe?

Sold me Paperport 14.5 which it advertises as being compatible with Windows 10. It is not. That is not the greatest problem. Worse is that it is impossible to obtain assistance. Their "Support" is designed to re-direct and frustrate NOT assist. There is no way to actually e-mail or telephone any department except sales which has no interest in supporting the product after you've paid for it. I would stay away from all their products. I've bought them in the past (Dragonspeaking, Paperport, etc). I'm happy I learned that lesson before I recommended them to my employer. We were looking for a new document management software and I was familiar with Paperport 12. If I had recommended this, it would have been extremely embarrassing.

Very poor after sales support and almost impossible to contact from outside the US. The website contact menus take you around in circles and you start where you began. Software also comes with very irritating activation requirements that cause endless problems when upgrading PC's/reformatting etc. The company also regularly has 'specials' valid until x date and you are harassed by email to take up the offer before it ends. The day after the "special" ends a new version of the softwared becomes available. Highly unethical business practice in my view.
