Surprisingly great recording and live streaming software. Absolutely free, and probably one of the best! Try this before you spend any money on other programs. No malware has been found on this site or the download.

OBS or Open Broadcaster Software is a piece of software that can be used to record your screen locally or be used as a screaming companion to stream to sites such as Twitch.
The software is great I use it to record locally.
The program uses your CPU to encode the video and thus is highly CPU intensive.

The best program to stream with which is open source and free and doesn't contain things such as viruses and/or malware, go right ahead and grab it if you're looking into streaming yourself. The stream service I recommend if you're looking to stream video game is www.twitch.tv.
