Is paltalk.com Safe?

This site has had issues with people committing suicide on LIVE cam. Too many drug addicts, alcoholics and other undesirable people active on this site. Not recommended for children. Hacking, scamming and stealing of personal information happens frequently. Toxic gangs operate to scam people on this site. Too many illegal activities to list.

I've been using Paltalk for many years (8) with no serious problems. Let's clear some stuff up. Yes, AVM is money-hungry! They will allow ANY malicious advertiser in their banners putting users at risk and they will attempt to weary you into buying a colored nick with the promise of removing them and allowing you unlimited cam-viewing. There are alternative ways of dealing with that I won't go into here. I personally they feel they've sunk very low with their increasing incentives and special tasteless deals constantly every few days in email and even more so with their latest obscene sticker packs. :( Other than these fine failings, the program itself is safe and easy to operate. Please use common sense online when dealing with strangers on the service! I run a 24/7 Christian music room on Paltalk and have a few loyal regulars. Been at it for four years. I wholly disprove of the porn rooms and all the other debauchery on the service but at the same time it sort of pays my way.

Paltalk has evolved into a transmission line for malware, of many tiypes using javascript, and adobe flash exploits in their advertisement streams. They are also a host for bad insult rooms and bad people all over the place looking to hurt you. It needs to be tagged as potentially unsafe. Adware because Ads are posted when you join or exit a paltalk room, on sign in, below and the side of a room and IM window. They over done the ads big time! The purpose for them overdoing the ads is to get people to upgrade which is not businessman like of them. Poor rating.

1st: The website itself is safe. 2nd: The program "paltalk messenger" has ads, many, the ads most of them are malicious ones that install stuff onto ur PC without you knowing about. 3rd: Adult content. 4th: Paltalk staff commonly known as "red hats" have full control of your PC, yes, Paltalk Program is not like skype or msn messenger. Paltalk is like a hacking patch server which you send to hack someone, except your not the one in charge, they are, who? "Red Hats aka Paltalk Staff, nicks which are in red colour". So use it on yor own risk. 5th: Solution!! Use Paltalk Express!! In which you can join paltalk from your web browser instead of installing the program itself. PS: read my comment about "express.paltalk.com" to be more safe.

I downloaded this product on my windows computer, and a few days later, one of those viruses that are designed to look like anti-viruses installed on my computer. I had to go to Geek Squad at Best Buy and pay over $100.00 USD to get it fixed. This is a bad product. DON'T INSTALL IT!
