Is poemhunter.com Safe?

This site is the best one, I ever came across in the web about poems. and I'm posting this bcz i'm very happy with this site... haha. ofcourse everyone has their own taste n views!! I just copied and voted for whole lot of poems just in few minutes of reading them!!! I am really enjoying this site very much...... and the best part is, I don't have to tire my brain to write such a level of creative writings..... to my girlfriend even to my family members. hahaha,,, yep.. indeed true. and the rest is, there are ads, but i dont think, these ads effect the visitors in any way. and I just dont understand why some people can't afford even for a second to look at those ads!!!!! I mean what's the wrong point in there guys??? these sites gives us lots n lots of great poems, (not to mention the lighting fast speed to load pages)..... and in return what does it asks from us????? just to look on few ads and vote the poets to support them!!!!! I hope this isn't something big for any of us. I mean not for me.

I went to the site from a Google search, and immediately it popped open a full-screen window with an ad. I clicked Safari's CLOSE WINDOW, and the **** site instead opened a popup "Are you sure you want to close this? blah blah blah", *with the Safari icon*. I clicked YES and it opened ANOTHER $%^&* pop-up, "Are you really truly sure you want to miss out on blah blah blah...?", again with the Safari icon. Now I have to see if the %^&* thing has infected my machine, starting by checking Safari.

I'm surprised by the many red flags and negative comments. I do not get any advertising, pop up or malicious code from it. Perhaps because I use adblock and no script to protect my browser. Anyway, not only I haven't found malicious content, but it's a great educational site with a huge collection of classic writers and poets works. Just use adblock and noscript on Firefox, and navigate safely on on it. ;-)
