Is profile.ak.facebook.com Safe?

If notoriety is your thing, go for it. You can 'meet up with old friends', you may not remember them, even if they remember you. In a very short period of time you can go from being an individual to an individual with 'friends'. These 'friends' can come from ANYWHERE, and if you don't remember them it's because they got married and changed their names, moved away right after school, some can't even remember who you actually are and start the conversation by saying "somebody we both know said I should look you up" or something to that effect. Eventually, it gets to be just like a chain letter. My daughter went to facebook and did her profile and had three friends in one day. In three days she had ninety-two 'friends' this way. My son in law has in excess of two hundred and he's new to facebook as well. See where this can go? If however you're all for getting in touch and swapping info with lost actual friends, it's okay. There is also a feature called the six degrees of separation, theoretically, we're all just six people away from knowing everyone on the planet. It's a theory. This site is about to prove the theory. If you can find 'friends' by the score within the first week of this facebook thing, it should promote doubt that this is a safe or smart thing to do. How much do you really want to know about people you THINK you know already? This is the whole EMAIL thing run amok. I really don't see the need for this, I would say it was entertaining at best and a 'voluntary spam site' at worst.
