Is rebtel.com Safe?

They are calling themselves to be a VoIP provider, but you can only connect with their own app to their service. They are saying that they are using "their own" SIP protocol, which is not compatible to the SIP standard. So be aware, to sign up with that provider, as you are only able to use their software and not any standard software. I did not sign up, after I have contacted the customer service who told me that. For this reason I'm not able to tell something if their service is working or not.
