Is renaissancekingdoms.com Safe?

It's a mentally fun game, set in the middle ages, no buzzers, guns, cars, filth or zombies. It's a very friendly & sociable community in your choice of English, Scottish, or Irish towns, counties etc. Vote for your mayor, county councils, even the king or queen! With various active, on-going storylines in several forums, plus real-time chats in the town's taverns, it's a close-knit game with families, marriage, etc. Join an army or navy, and gain status and medals; or serve in the church! (Be a wandering trader/merchant, Or be a vagabond bandit, or pirate!) I've been playing for over five years now, and am still happy in my town, growing veggies or livestock to sell in the market or the Town Hall, or just be ‘gone fishin’, and even more! Come join us! :)

At one time this was a very fun game, though now the community has become a little stagnant. Its best described as a very large and very dysfunctional family now. Some of the ads can be questionable, but since I use Ad-block Plus most of the time, I don't see them very often. Only when using another computer that doesn't have ABP. I have made quite a few purchases of "tokens" to buy premium game features and have never had any problems with it.

I have been playing this for several years and I have yet to come across racey ads or viruses as stated by others here... nor would I take the word of someone using "adds" as the abbreviation for advertisements. The site is trustworthy when it comes to using paypal to purchase the in-game "tokens", but the admins are extremely bias to members that purchase large amounts, leading to clones being left unbanned. Its a good site for roleplaying and community though, certainly worth giving a chance if you are into this sort of game. As for the taverns, they are unmoderated, but I have never come across any explicit or crude language in the years that I have played. It really is a game for dedicated mature players though, children just won't be interested.

While this site does not have explicitly adult content, it is still not "child friendly." "Taverns" are the chat rooms and there is no moderator... anything can go on there at the tavern owner's discretion... if they're present at all. Also some character banners on the forum contain racy material.... definitely not a site for anyone under the age of 15.
