Tons of restaurant reviews. Safe site.

I got some sort of certificate from this site. I went to a restaurant listed on the site. Well the owner was unhappy and did not want to take the certificate. He said he asked the site to take his restaurant off the site many times (yet it was still there). He did accept the certificate (he seemed like a nice guy overall). The whole thing though made me feel like this site is suspicious. Also misleading claims definitely. Not good.

The rules should be up front. I didn't realize the rules "per party per month", before I have purchased 2 certificates for the same restaurant in a city I visit twice a year. But their customer service is really good, I was able to exchange right away.

i was given a free $25 gift certificate, so to redeem it i have to spend more money? a $10 certificate requires a $20 purchase, what a ripoff! at least i didn't pay for anything, but that's false advertising! it's not a gift certificate, more like a half-off coupon, i'd rather use Groupon.

First, these are not gift certificates. They are coupons, and the restaurant gets no cut. 100% profit for a scamming site. No expiration date. Restaurants have been burned by the site, and end up just refusing to accept the coupon. Make single small purchases on the site, and go in groups. You need to purchase a lot for them to accept the coupon. NOTE: Only one can be used per table.... you'll need the rest of the people at the table just to meet the minimum purchase price. (You can only use one coupon per month, so don't buy 10, and give them to all your friends-after all, they are not gift certificates - You could buy a restaurant.com gift card so they can buy some of there own, but I don't trust the site, and have heard horror stories for that too.) go in groups. They add 18% gratuity anyway. (makes sense since it takes them time to validate the coupon), but the servers do not like the extra work. Over all service declines at a restaurant with a few of these coming in. -- Weird, because usually service is still good when they get to charge extra due to the group. (Like I say its extra work, and that's not built into the restaurant's staffing consideration so there is not enough staff for them to be taking all the time of validating these -- Then they do double the work for the same 18% you would have paid if they did good work, only now its gauranteed) Heck, if the service is bad I am almost tempted to cut my losses and not redeem said coupon. Before I order the last drink or desert. (If the server asks why, are you not using the coupon, say the service is bad-NOTE: you are supposed to present the coupon before you order - so you know they will accept it.) The places that actually benefit from these are places that are way over priced anyway. i.e. hotels. And places that don't get much business. i.e. hotels or bad establishments (who wants to tip that much at a bad place-for extra food you never wanted.)

Provides coupons for purchase, for restaurants that don't even accept them or know of this website itself. Fraud!

I have a 'Restaurant.com Dining Certificate' for Sal and Teresa's Restaurant, 161 East Deuce of Clubs, Show Low, AZ 85901 and it turned out to be claimed to be a fraud by the restaurant owners. Just to be sure, I looked up Sal and Teresa's Restaurant again and Sal and Teresa's Restaurant is still listed <http://www.restaurant.com/listing?loc=85901>.

I have used this site many times. I have used this certificates at Many restaurants, a lot of which I hadn't been before. this gives you an opportunity to save some money on a meal and find new places where you can take your family out to eat. I have discovered many restaurants this way and have Always had a good experience. Of course you should read the smaller print to know if there are any restrictions, etc. Just read before you buy and you won't have to leave a bad comment.

Excellent site for dining out certificates. They are very helpful and accommodating if you need help in navigating the site. Certificates never expire!

I would TRULY TRULY be careful before making purchases from this place. After purchasing, I've found that many restaurants do not accept these things anymore. Upon asking one restaurant why these things are still being sold then, I was told they had tried NUMEROUS times to get themselves off with no luck. Restaurants DO NOT make any money from these sales. It solely goes to restaurant.com. Apparently, restaurant.com claims they are doing the restaurants a "favor" by promoting, which could be true, but at the same time, they are giving away a good amount of food and then gets no response from the website. I've lost money and have had no response from the website, myself, concerning my bad purchases. :( Buh-bye restaurant.com I'm just sayin'.....call restaurants FIRST before buying.
