I am a student who signed up on scholarships.com to check it out and see what it had to offer. At first, it seemed legitimate, but as I opened various scholarship applications, I eventually found my computer acting strange and my files began to lock up. Luckily, I had someone look at my laptop and it turned out I received a virus from this site specifically. I will absolutely not be using this site again because it almost caused me to lose my laptop. The scholarship applications open up at pop-ups instead of opening a new tab which should have been my first clue that this site was going to cause issues.

This site has MANY ads and popups that cannot be turned off. It pops in3-4 ads every few times you change sites, and most of them are long and difficult to avoid. It's rather easy to accidentally subscribe yourself to a ton of spam mail chains during normal use of this site.
