Does not read robots, does not give ANY information as to what their bot is/does. Securepoint uses a web crawler for its content filter system, which examine a site. the robots.txt will be ignored, because bad websites are using robots.txt, too. so it wouldnt be possible to examine bad sites.

Hallo, das Wot-Rating sagt leider gar nichts aus, da es ein individuelles Rating von Benutzern ist. Mehrere Benutzer haben sich hierbei daüber beschwert, dass Securepoint die "robot.txt" ignoriert. Mit der "robot.txt" können Webcrawlern Befehle gegeben werden, bestimmte Bereiche einer Website nicht zu scannen. Der Webcrawler unseres Content-Filters in unserem Rechenzentrum ignoriert diese Befehle. Und das aus gutem Grund, da sonst von "schlechten" Webseiten-Anbietern (Rassimus, Pornographie, Gewalt etc.) unser Content-Filter ausgesperrt werden würde, denn die benutzen auch die "robot.txt". Leider kann man nicht voraussehen, welche Seiten im Web gut sind, sondern muss diese direkt untersuchen. So gibt es dann da auch keine andere Lösung! VG, Andreas

Securepoint is a German manufacturer of UTM firewalls with a good reputation in the market. I made only the best experiences with their willing to help and their professional expertise. Good site, good supplier. There is no reason to mark it red in WOT I suggest to be more careful with the red markings. Jürgen

the crawler is a content filter, which examine every page. so, it isnt a bad thing!

Schickt einen Crawler der sich nicht an die Regeln (Robots.txt) hält, auf anfragen zwecks robost.txt wird um den heissen brei drum herum geredet und die fragen werden nicht beantwortet.
