Installs 3rd party software in browsers which is difficult to uninstall. Get MS Codecs from ***** The best codecs & media player (MPC) frequently updated from ***** . If not want to mess around with codecs install VLC Media Player from ***** & don't have to worry about codecs as it is self contained.

Good codec pack, but installer installs 3'rd party software that is classified as Malware/spyware/adware (delta search toolbar, ++) if you don't pay close attention, and it is a pain to remove... so if you choose to install this, be careful. I would recommend to avoid this, and install another codec pack..

This site is a clean one. So is this codec pack. I have been using this pack on XP and Vista since version 3.0. there are no files I can't play. You can use the Custom install and choose whatever codecs you need to be installed. Just make sure to Uninstall the Old Version before proceeding to install a new one. Athlonite.

Excellent codecs package. Uninstalls older codecs before installing these, so minimal unnecessary junk files hang around. Well-done, and FREE!
