Is speedymags.com Safe?

I have received unsolicited promotional email from them, which addressed me by another person's name. It's likely that one of their real customers gave them my address by mistake (she has the same first initial and last name, and this happens often). Or she made up a fake email address because she didn't want to receive the junk mail herself, and the "fake" address happened to be mine. Companies like this one should use some form of email verification when subscribing new customers to a list.
