Several negative points: it takes a long time for them to confirm an order and ship the package. Unacceptable in year 2017.
Usually they send the pre-shipping info 2 days before it's been sent from their warehouse.
International shipping is worthless. They use DHL GlobalMail which means the package gets handed over to destination country postal service. Since it is nutrition it usually gets stuck in custom as they dont have express customs as DHL, UPS and FedEx has. So expect 2-3 weeks after it has been shipped.
Also pay for cheapest possible when ordering international since they all will arrive and will be handled the same way by destination country postal service.
Although I trust Swanson vitamins, my rating: "be cautious" for suitable for children is more based on thinking children need to filter this information through parents.
Have been doing business with them many years without issue
Please, note there are some "Red Donuts" about this site, but believe it is a 3rd party - hack - not Swanson's.
They can guide you in a limited way. Everyone still needs to do their own research and decide what will be helpful to them. Good pricing for vits/supps/health & beauty items used daily.

As an international customer I am very dissatisfied with their customer service. International tracking code is not sent automatically and after being a customer for years I received a package wet through and through on all sides due to a package of coconut oil not being packed properly or with a defect causing a leakage. Swanson did not take the responsibility for this and did not offer to reship the items although the package was returned. At the post office I was also told that customs had not opened the package due to its condition. As it has not be tempered with the responsibility falls on Swanson, but they did not want to hear it. They gave me a refund on the products, but not shipping. It is not the first time I am dissatisfied and although they might provide better service to their national customers, those outside the US should not expect too much from this company...
