Is textfiles.com Safe?

Has a huge variety of text-based information that pretty much covers the whole spectrum of bad ("anarchist" information such as how to hack 1990s ATMs) to ridiculous (tinfoil hat stuff) to downright unwise (advice on how to shoplift). An interesting piece of history, but don't be stupid and actually try any of this stuff.

There's advice on making illegal devices and having sexual intercourse with animals. I question the website but it also has plenty of great sides as well with plenty of information on things varying from text adventures, games, etc. I recommend this site if you don't follow the actual instructions for illicit things.

Be warned,this site has cookbooks for anarchy and becoming an anarchist is like becoming a terrorist,CHILDREN must be at least above 15. but you could read it,its not like you have access to the tools used in the cookbooks,but watch out for texts that need to be downloaded,also stay away from the sex section.

On the face of things, we seem to be merely talking about text-based files, containing only the letters of the English Alphabet (and the occasional punctuation mark). On deeper inspection, of course, this isn't quite the case. What this site offers is a glimpse into the history of writers and artists bound by the 128 characters that the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) allowed them. The focus is on mid-1980's textfiles and the world as it was then, but even these files are sometime retooled 1960s and 1970s works, and offshoots of this culture exist to this day.

BEWARE: If you are looking for something stupid you will get a ton of virals. Thankfully most of this site is relatively clean. Since this is mostly from BBS's the stuff contained on this site might be fairly old and irrelevent. Watch what you DL, keep the AV up to date, and have fun.
