A lot of great articles that take a middle-of-the-road stance on various issues. The secular arguments balance out the religious aspect which is great for atheists and agnostic readers. It comes off as right-wing, but it's more reality centered if anything.
Helpful
The site is certainly hateful and discriminatory towards the gay/trans demographic, but that much is already obvious. The malware/viruses and privacy risk tags are because the site ignores 'Do Not Track' requests, and employs the use of two popular tracking cookies called rev.sci and tribalfusion. Neither of these things are technically malware or viruses, but that is nonetheless the most appropriate negative tag of those available. The cookies seem to be distributed at intervals, not to every visitor to the site. But, in sending at least 300 requests, I consistently receive both cookies at least once. They both track and document your web usage and report the information to someone. Tracking cookies aren't always dangerous per se, but there are plenty of examples where they've caused significant harm.

This is one of the most sober and intelligent conservative opinion outlets anywhere. People, please stop using WOT to flag sites that happen to hold political/religious views different from your own as "untrustworthy": that defeats the whole purpose.
Helpful
public discourse, for democrats, of course
1
Deeply homophobic and transphobic, depressingly ignorant (in spite of claims to know the subject) and inexcusably patronising. The risk of psychological damage to youngsters reading the site is very real. There should be a 18+ only warning.

Mostly news and commentary. Nothing malicious, site is SAFE to visit.

I've read 3 articles from here. I'd say the trustworthiness ranking stems from a lot of claims not standing up to academic scrutiny. That being said, the sources are usually linked - so you can go make your own conclusions. It is what it is, a place for Christian Academics to congregate and affirm their beliefs through flawed review of the literature.

This site advocates a conservative Christian ideology interesting with public policy and social issues. As such, some will label it as a "hate" site because they disagree with the underlying premise of the ideology.

That is it. I am uninstalling this piece of crap addon. I may not agree with everything on this site, but I am sick to death of every right leaning site being flagged as dangerous, yet I never see any left wing nutty sites EVER being flagged. Good riddance.

From the website's "About" page: Public Discourse is an online publication of the Witherspoon Institute that seeks to enhance the public understanding of the moral foundations of free societies by making the scholarship of the fellows and affiliated scholars of the Institute available and accessible to a general audience. Just because this site has an opposing view doesn't mean it engages in hate or discrimination. Also, its positions are not misleading or unethical. The group has a lot of articles based on opinion, and that is something no one should be suspicious of.
4
This site hosts important academic discussions about issues of public life. It seems those who rate this site poorly are attempting to dissuade others addressing certain questions considered in this forum. The discussion this site fosters is of paramount importance for civil life in a free society, even if you may disagree with some authors' conclusions.
