Is thequran.com Safe?

The only "problem" with this site is that it takes an alternate view of Islam, from an academic point of view, and written by people who have grown up in Islam. Some reviewers use the word "Islamophobe" indiscriminately. It's accurate definition is "an irrational fear of Islam or Muslims." They attempt to use it to shut up anyone who does not believe and agree, and, in this case, submit to, Islam. It is a common technique used by other groups, and is to be rejected by any thinking person. The current negative WOT rating for this and many other sites comes of an often highly organized effort to keep people from any website which does not toe the party line. These ratings are based on a simple one-vote democratic voting process. Such concerted efforts to sway a rating should be recognized by everyone, and ignored. They are often simply an indication that someone does not want the light turned on in their dark room.

I have the print version. The site is a critical look at the Koran/Quran. Insecure Muslims should grow some confidence and learn to dialog about their faith instead of bashing as "hateful" those who question it.

This site is wholly accurate as to the long-time problems in the quran. Many of the negative comments are by people who do not want to accept the truth about the quran and the negative messages it sends. It's no good to live in ignorance. If you want to understand what the quran really says apart from the manufactured perspectives, read this site. Blessings.

Ahmeed, I agree with you 100%! There is only ONE true way to know and understand the verses of The Holy Qur'an...READ IT! Anyone can borrow a copy from their local, lending library. ALL bookshops sell them, and people can also visit any Masjid (Mosque) to request a copy, and ask questions. The majority of these websites are funded and operated, not by Jews or Israelis as some here have suggested, but almost entirely by Fundamentalist Evangelical Organizations, and people who subscribe to this kind of twisted thinking. Make it a rule to ALWAYS check to see who is the Webmaster and/or Owner of the misleading site. Google that person's or organization's name, and FIND OUT who they are and what they stand for! And then, make their name, organization, and the name and web address of their site known to as many people as possible! We ALL need to start websites of our own, and link them together - form a webring - and post this information. We should also set up Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Twitter pages, warning people about these sites and the thinking behind them. It is extremely important that we avoid sounding angry or outraged - even if we are - because when we do this, it adds fuel to the fire of their argument, that we are all violence prone terrorists! We must remain as placid and calm as possible in the wording of our message. Let THEM rant, rage, and threaten, while we do as our beloved Prophet - Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him - would have done...remain calm, and turn the other cheek!
