DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE AT ALL. They threw all objectivity out the window when they made this website. THE CLUE. I work in a field that uses few of the product that were reviewed so I know in detail which ones are good or bad. I was surprised to find out that the rankings were all wrong. I was even more surprised to notice that the #1 ranked products were inferior but usually had a huge marketing campaign going on. Very fishy no? HOW I CONFIRMED MY SUSPICIONS. So I did some minor digging. This site is owned by a hedge fund called the Purch Group that purchased A LOT of review-type websites all at one time. AnandTech, Tom's Guide, Tom's Hardware, Tome's IT Pro, Top Ten Reviews, ShopSavvy, Business.com, LiveScience, Consumr, Laptop Mag, Active Junky, Newsarama, and a whole lot more! They must have spent tens of millions of dollars for these sites. Now, I'm thinking how will they ever recover all that money just through sponsored ads? It's just impossible. It's so obvious that they have to get paid by the companies which they rate very high on their list. It's a very shady and illegal business strategy that they used. Their strategy appear to blanket the internet with seemingly independent websites (but are all owned by Purch, a detail that they, of course, conveniently leave out on their website). They push for a certain product and that company pays them a nice chunk of change because independent reviews really create A LOT of revenue for companies. SHADY MARKETING. Purch websites claim they objectively rank the products by putting the testers and the sales team in different buildings. That's how serious they are with being objective? lol. Uh...I don't know how putting the testers and the sales team in a different building would make the reviews more objective. The sales team can either walk over or call them and tell the testers to make X product look good. It takes 5 minutes. PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING. If you don't believe me, go visit one of their sites that reviews products that you're an expert in. Specifically, look at reviews for a category of products that aren't that popular but you know a great deal about. You'll see that the reviews are completely bogus. I mean this literally but I don't think they even try out some of the products before writing about them! It's garbage.

Just searched for their reputability. 100% of the reviews were the same: they only "review/rate" products for pay. That is, reviews are bought, not independent (if any testing is done at all). Hence, pending any new information, I rate them as a garbage site.

WARNING ..... The reviews and ratings they do are completely wrong. Suspect they are getting paid to give good ratings to bad software. Avoid !

This site has quite a few spurious claims that are not valid by a long shot. This appears to be a paid review site to whitewash other sites that engage in fraud operations. This site is untrustworthy.

"Reviews" that aren't really reviews. "Reviews" that aren't done by qualified reviewers. This is a scam site trying to make money by selling top positions in software reviews. Their "best" choice is the one they can make most money on. To call their articles 'reviews' is a scam in itself.

Great info on cell phone carriers.

They have a Top 10 page for "Driver Updaters" which most people hopefully know is basically a fancy term for malware. All of the software is flagged as malware yet this site passes them off as legit programs. Can't trust this site, and it's probably an affiliate to push certain products looking at some other Top 10s.

I am giving it a generous yellow because sometimes the reviews are helpful. However, they mostly review paid products and then make money through affiliate links. If you don't know what that means is when you buy products and services through a link on a site they track it and then get a commission. The problem is if they are reviewing things that they make money on makes their incentives very troublesome. Think about it.

These are not reviews, they are advertisements disguised as reviews. I installed Personal Blocklist by Google specifically to block this site from my Google Search results.

The results promoted on this site, are basically designed to make money for the site owner- not give you the chance to make an informed decision. The "results" are based on how much commission a company being "reviewed" will pay for people who buy a license via this site, and this whole site is basically an affiliate link pot disguised as "real" reviews....some of the reviews are horrendously out of date and inaccurate, and I would suggest looking for a more credible source of information.

This site purports to be a legitimate review site. Products reviewed instead pay to be listed. This site is fake. Scam. Unsuitable for children simply because they do not have the ability to recognize this site as the sales site it is.

A complete scam. They are paid to put bad and malicious products on the "top ten lists"

I've come across this site numerous times and their reviews are always out of whack with trends. They rank products high that have no business be called best-in-class. It leaves me believing this is a review site designed for profit, allowing ratings to be purchased. They attempt to look legitimate, but there are plenty of details that show it's a farce. For example, their noise-cancelling headphone review ranks the Bose QC15 5th behind headphones that are widely known to be inferior. They provide that ranking while showing they didn't even test the noise cancelling capability of the Bose!? They also mangle the minimum and maximum frequency response units in their comparison grid. Lastly, while they rank customer support low in the grid for Bose, their review seems to rave about it. Don't trust them.

It's either: A shop or other that uses SPAM to his promotion (adverts), even famous brands, deemed reliable, do the same now, I've seen public services in any country to use SPAM for their advancement (tourism, trade fairs, shows, festivals, etc..), there is only a small step for hospitals, police, governments, schools, ... will go do the same too. A disaster of modern times now affecting other means of mobile communications (smartphones, tablets, SMS, etc..). Or if it's either: An address used for SPAM, endless new addresses (even the wacky, with a letter changed, weird word, numbers, .......) are created permanently to bypass filters, updated constantly, that harassed and antispam services put to block this scourge! Apparently this is the feast of site creations including fake sites for spam, scams, to sell us (legally or illegally) their products or services, and pollute the planet with electric resources wasted, thank you also HOSTS complaisant with the SPAM and the world of profit! One day, the number of Internet domains used for SPAM extensively exceed the number of useful internet domains, like the number of SPAM received which represents 90% of e-mails that are received in the world! Proof here: ***** /!\ A VERY IMPORTANT TIP /!\ : DON'T CLICK ON ANYLINK IN A SPAM, INCLUDING THE UNSUSCRIBE LINK, BECAUSE YOU WOULD CONFIRM THAT YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS IS VALID, TO BETTER SPAMMING YOU, SPAMS are very contagious with illegal resale data, unofficially legal in corrupt countries! REPORT DIRECTLY SUSPECTS E-MAIL, SMS OR CALL TO SERVICES PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE THAT THE AUTHORITIES AND ASSOCIATIONS HAVE PUT IN PLACE TO COMBAT THIS PANDEMIC!

Review site, not clear why/how they are independent or how they make their money. Suspect.

Reviews are biased and therefore not reliable.

Do not trust its reviews. Basically, the more you pay to that site, the higher they rate you.

***** does not appear to be an honest reviewing company and take advantage to the public's general willingness to be trusting. An example is: I wen't there looking for a solution for software to do audio file format conversions. I chose RiverPast Audio Converter which they gave an 8.8 rating. Well when I installed it on my Windows 8.1 system I found that it gave me noisy audio files and was full of other numerous bugs. On top of that they offer a 30 money back guarantee, but when you click the refund link on their website it returns a server error as does their forum link. Their sales link works just fine though. I sent them an email two days ago but they have yet to reply. I am not convinced that ***** actually reviews any of the products they represent other than listing the products claimed featured and such. They provide no feedback option on their page or any way to email any of their reviewers. So, I just do not trust any of toptenreviews.com recommendations.

Fake review site. Claims to offer fair comparisons of different websites and services. They are deceptive.. Spam and will keep charging your credit card monthly ... even though you tell them to stop! BEWARE

This site requires a payment to be made for reviewing and ranking the products well - no payment, no good review
