Basicly, this site negotiates payments between seller and your bank via your own internet banking information. (no true in technical sense, but close enough) Trusted? I guess we trust them, because they tell us we can trust them. And they are big business. Problems I see about this approach is that "today" (1/2014) no bank allows users to pass their security information (user id, password, onetime passcodes) to anyone (breech of contract in worst case). quote from EULA: "the secret login information of the User will never be stored but forwarded to the corresponding input-field with the selected bank. " quoted from EULA: "Trustly Group may, however, store and process any and all information provided by you. Trustly Group’s processing of such information takes place in accordance with clause 7 (Privacy policy and processing of personal data) below." Clause 7 contains that they obey law and will protect data provided by user, will give data to authorities when asked with good sounding reason, etc. And also they will not pass data on for "commercial, advertising or similar purpoces." Clause 3 says that your real personal information will be sent to seller . quoted from EULA: "Your information is furthermore forwarded by Trustly Group to the Merchant for the purpose of the Merchant to verify the transaction and payment and the User’s identity and personal information in order to meet eventual legal requirements. " But that said, firm behind this service is licensed Payment Institution and is regulated by the law in Sweden. They are trusted by many big sellers as well as many entertainment or gaming sites. My own comment might be that "I guess seller needs to know whom the money really comes from and that corporations need to know exactly who does business with what in the internet(s). And smaller banks will be driven to chains with payment providers like these. I personally see no point in this, minding the history of "in cash we trust".
