I have scripts turned off, which is probably why I had no problems using the site, but the one font I downloaded turned out to be invalid as a font. It did check out as being clean, according to Bitdefender. Still, it seems obvious to me that there are no redeeming features to this site. Its only purpose is to put unwanted software on people's computers.

I use an adBlocker (and using a Mac), so I never saw any adds. It was fairly clear on how to download a font and get a ttf font. I was offered to download their font viewing software for free, but I just ignored it & continued on. I didn't encounter any immediate "red flags".

This site should be avoided at all costs! As a graphic designer, I went there seeking a particular free font. I've never had issues with numerous other free font sites. When I was about to download a font from ufonts.com, I noticed the file had a ***** extenson. This immediately made me suspicious. I decided to go ahead with the download to see what would happen. I've dealt with numerous cases of malware (Windows platform) over the years, so I was confident I could handle any shenanigans. Sure enough, I wasn't downloading a font at all but an exe file that was double-zipped. With a grin, I ran the executable. An installer immediately sprang into action and installed numerous pieces of software before I even had the chance to exit. Both my Anti-Virus software and Windows Defender stopped the installer. After Windows Defender finished, I rebooted. I returned to find a couple of new icons in my tray and Opera browser installed and set as my default. The "installer" also tried to run a VBS script that thankfully failed. As a power user I was able to kill all the suspect processes, uninstall the unwanted programs, remove startup entries, and return my system to normal. This still cost me time away from my work. Avoid even going to ufonts.com! If you do happen to get caught in the above mess, search online for ways to remove all the malware from another computer. I will continue to pursue ways to warn others about this evil website and do what I can to have it shut down.

I am a graphic designer so Ive download a lot of fonts from numerous sources and NEVER have I come across an "EXE" FILE EXTENSION FOR A DAMN FONT, a font file is small & should be easily downloaded as is..CERTAINLY not an exe file which is one of the biggest ways to send a virus!! Not to mention, it was nearly impossible for me to find the right link for the font, I was bombarded with numerous other links which were intended to trick me into clicking on something else to download instead! STAY AWAY FROM UFONTS.COM!!!! *** !!!DO NOT TRUST!!!

Download button tries to install download.exe from ***** which Avast detects as Win32:Evo-Gen

Fakes links - that then lead to a download.exe

This page is involved in the distribution of adware. Clicking the Download button to download a font actually ends up downloading the macvexe adware, and not a font. Further, the site will also redirect to another site that warns the user that their "Media Player version" is outdated, and offering another adware download.

After running a font installer carefully (declined offers to install recommended bloatware/malware software) I still had extensions created for my web browser and programs installed without giving direct permission. Now it's time to wipe Windows clean again..

AntiVirus came up with an alert that the site was trying to install malware on my computer.

Download links redirect to external sites already know to distribute malware or conduct Phishing.

Although the site itself may be clean the first link to a font contained viruses. No way Jose!
