Be aware & careful of the constant push to sell you additional unecessary services to "enhance" searching etc and more importantly you have to CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION as your subscription will continue automatically if you do not cancel. It is straightforward to do so, but you must read the instructions carefully. Don't trust anyone's photos or profiles. Meet face to face in a public, safe environment, then it is a good way to meet like-minded people.

According to Pink News [1], an LGBT news website, Match actually costs between £6.49 and £29.99 per month (but from my own experience, there's no real mention of that until you're thoroughly invested in the site and ready to send a message, and their help pages [2] do not give the exact cost). But it could cost you even more if you're bisexual, as they actually force you to sign up twice and pay two subscription charges if you wish to search for both genders. They claim to be LGBT-friendly but charging bisexual people double to use their services sounds like discrimination to me. Source 1: ***** Source 2: http://uk.match.com/help/contact_ex_faq_v.php

My advice is to avoid *****. I was offered a three day free trial. The conditions stated, "If during the Trial you decide you do not want to continue with your subscription, just cancel the automatic billing by following the instructions given on the "My subscription" tab of your "My account" page." What those conditions did NOT state was that you needed to cancel the automatic billing 48 hours before the end of the trial, so many people would be caught out by that deviousness. However, I cancelled immediately, so that should not have been a problem in my case. Then, about a week after the trial had ended, my bank account was debited for a £29:99 subscription. I wrote to them and demanded an immediate refund: they replied but did not in any way address my concerns. So I phoned them (the phoned number they give charge 10p/minute from a landline). They said they would arrange a refund, but said it might take 21 days. No justification was given for the extraordinary length of time to provide a refund, and certainly none is justified. I await my refund. In my view Match.com attempt to get money out of you by fair means or foul, cannot be trusted to act fairly, and should be avoided.

I do not like them since I have Asperger's Syndrome. This site attracts the worst of people on the net and the rating is not truthful on any level at all it needs to be shown in the true light of what is effectively a money grabbing exercise the only thing most of the women on this site are after is rich mean with more money and sense and looking at how some of the profiles are written that seems to come across very clearly. Other people are right about the charging and the hiding of fees on here it's just staggering they can get away with this and have been doing so for so long. I do not think many if any of the profiles are real I am also sure they have fabricated some of them to keep you there thinking you have found the perfect woman/man and that's just a con. Avoid this site and the arrogant and vain people on it. It's just a money making exercise and the owners of it have flaunted that for too long and are still getting away with it.
