Gives the message "You cannot currently browse ***** via HTTP/SSL." when you attempt to visit the site via https, despite having a valid certificate.

safety improvements are important. it would be nice if UL would help with continuous enforce continuous improvement, as many manufacturers wholesale sometimes dangerous products to retailers looking for deals.

UL provides product safety certifications. When you buy any electronic appliance, from simple power adapters to home theatre equipments, make sure they carry the UL logo to be sure it passed international safety standards.
