The ads are not technically malicious and neither are the tracking cookies. A tracking cookie is not malicious and Value Click is one of the most trusted Ad networks outside of the big 4 (AOL, Ad sense, Yahoo-Bing, and Tribal-fusion). Now while online tracking is annoying it is found to not be malicious according to many security researchers.
