Today I was researching to see which Email Addresses and Usernames I use have been leaked, exposed or stolen.... To my surprise vBulletin never contacted me regarding the breach but has sent me happy birthday emails every year (inc. after the breach for 2016). Luckily I do rotate my information and use a LastPass Password Manager or I might be a little more angry right now. With that said I always viewed vBulletin as an inferior product for forum software and always placed my trust in the Open-Source  major competitor it has instead. Looks like I made the correct choice. It gets the full low red rating from me for lack of trust and safety. I feel this software and no t just the software, but also the company behind it cannot be trusted. I'm a web developer and do know how salts & hashes work and that likely the passwords will not be decrypted any time soon but the other items leaked with no notice at all of the situation is enough for potential theft of an account. If I was one those members that shared passwords and password hints across sites and if my password reset hints and answers were  obvious and/or the password itself; hackers could be having a field day with any other account I owned at the moment. I'm not one of those users but vBulletin didn't know that and still opted to not email me about the breach despite still having my email address to wish me a happy birthday every year. At first I was surprised their wasn't more negative ratings but understand most people probably didn't know just as I didn't. This is what ***** reports:vBulletin: In November 2015, the forum software maker vBulletin suffered a serious data breach. The attack lead to the release of both forum user and customer accounts totalling almost 519k records. The breach included email addresses, birth dates, security questions and answers for customers and salted hashes of passwords for both sources.Compromised data: Dates of birth, Email addresses, Homepage URLs, Instant messenger identities, IP addresses, Passwords, Security questions and answers, Spoken languages, Website activity

JavaScript Obfuscation Summary JavaScript Obfuscation is a language used to make websites interactive. If that JavaScript code is written in a cryptic way so that it isn't easy to see what it does, it's considered to be a JavaScript Obfuscation. A JavaScript Obfuscation is often used to hide malicious code that can force malicious unwanted software on your device.

Jelsoft was a good company. Since this new company has bought this software they constantly scam people out of money. Take money out of your bank account then take a week to decide if they want to deliver the software or not. Then when they refund you they don't refund the charges they caused against your account. This entire companies model has turned fraudulent. They advertise features their software doesn't even contain. I marked it unsafe for children as a large percentage of their customers are so angry they go on curse filled rants in public on their forums.

Customer since 2006, and have never regretted doing all the upgrades, and changes. This company has been everything I've needed to develop a strong website! In addition, support has always been there for me.

Another once-respectable company destroyed by ***** acquisition. The original developers have left. Try ***** For that matter, a good free alternative can be had from ***** Anything has to be better than the ever-increasing extortionate annual fees IB has imposed on what was once a popular forum package. I suppose IB needs the money to pay lawyers to carry on more frivilous litigation? Maybe they can find some charities to sue or something... anything to distract attention from their own ineptitude.

Paid the licence twice because of a technic error, never saw my money back. Moreover, verry bad support. Turn back and go to Invision Power Board !
