Is ventrilo.com Safe?

This is a old program that has been worked on since ***** This makes it one of the most stable voip programs. However its not easy to run your own server because you have to buy the pro version to get more slots. If you want to run a private server where you dont earn any money. Go for mumble or non profit teamspeak license :)

Client is too locked down. You have to buy a server if you plan on hosting more than a certain (very small) number of slots. The pro version that isn't locked down requires a large scale minimum number of slots and a business license to buy because "we want people to run it as a business, not as a hobby" How completely stupid, that just defeats the purpose of a small, free, do it yourself VOIP client. This would be so much better if the people who make the software aren't so darn greedy and stupid.
