Not only did he write many of the documents that would help serve as blueprints to the American government, but he fought in many of the war’s early battles including the Battles of Concord and Lexington. What happened? He died in the 1755 battle of Bunkerhill, helping the Patriot militia escape by staying on the front lines so he could draw the Britain’s fire.
