Is watchcartoononline.com Safe?

This site can be used to watch your favourite cartoons and anime. The only bad thing about it, is the ads. However, being a site like this, it needs those ads to run. I recommend Ghostery or Adblock with this if you don't like the ads or third party trackers.

I love the site, I use adblocker, but some how after watching a certain amount of videos, a pop up or two worms it's way in. I HATE THAT! I get this is how they make revenue, but the ads at times have malware. maybe if they had a donate button they coudl run the place with no ads. I have to switch browsers to avoid the pop up! So enter at your own risk and have your anti malware programs updated if you really wanna see an episode you may have missed of a certain show, you may have missed cuz other official network sites restrict countries. crunchyroll ads don't give half this much trouble.

You need to use cation with sites like this even though this site seems to be safer then most other similar sites because shady sites typically have very poor security and often fall prey to cross-scripting type attacks, so you I would recommend using a sandbox app to protect your browser, Avast free has an auto sandbox and the pro version has a full SB and Comodo firewall has a auto SB as well, but the thing about auto sandboxes is that more unwanted data tends to leak through compared to a full SB in fact I highly recommend Sandboxie since it's the most secure Windows based SB out there, and your if not sandboxing then a scriptblocker like ADP or Noscript would be the next best thing. So just keep this in mind when visiting sites like this. And besides with official/legit sites like Amazon,NetFlix, Hulu & so on whats the point of taking a risk of infection not to mention these types of sites are likely owed by some shady company(s) better to ovoid as them as much as possible.
