I don't know what it was, but when I visited this site some sort of script started and my antivirus (Microsoft Security Essentials) blocked it, and informed me that it was malicious. Very scary, and I won't be going back.

No pop up or spam ads of any kind. Very entertaining articles though.

No popup ads or spyware and a fun site.

There is a very real difference between a "web bug" and a tracking cookie used to link to tracking or advertisers. A tracking cookie is used to track the user's preferences regarding material on the web. A web bug is used to place actual malicious content onto a user or viewer's machine, such as a trojan, a worm, or to exploit a weakness in a browser (the most common real threat). People on here need to be more certain that the problems they report are actually true threats. In fact, a lot of sites have as part of the Terms of Service an understanding that the user will allow tracking of their preferences through cookies, mostly for the purpose of maintaining site preferences the way the user likes them (such as how the pages of a site are displayed). Quit crying "Wolf", when you just don't know what you are doing!

4 Javascript web bugs for tracking/advertising sites (per Ghostery) plus 5 more html connections to other such sites (per NoScript). Excellent in privacy? Trustworthy?
