Good site as works well, good UI / design, and file SHA256 hash is the same as the original uploaded file in my sample size of one (as tested so far). Privacy Risks as this is under Queensland, Australia jurisdiction. Australia is a member of the 'Five Eyes' spying network for many decades now. Whilst safeguards are in place against spying on 'content' (as opposed to the metadata of an individual's traffic), if one voluntarily agrees to upload content to a company, whilst waiving one's rights to privacy, this is a loophole in the law, allowing agencies, if they have the relationship with the spy agencies that they likely do have, and that many major ISPs have been shown to have, to spy on the content of that data. Or at least, the site's privacy policy raises suspicions of this: "***** will delete Customer data upon termination of this Agreement. However, Wikisend.com may retain Customer data in its archives after deletion and will not be liable to Customer in any way for such retained data." Semantics-based abuse! What is 'deletion' if not erasing the data permanently? No reasonable person, no reasonable, unbiased (if it ever exists!) court of law would change the dictionary definition of 'deletion', so this is a weasel word. I like the company's web design, but the fact remains that their data protection policy has suspicious elements to it, regardless of their potentially-good intentions. References: ***** ***** *****
