Searching for 'patronising' to translate into French, comes up with no results. This is because the site that calls itself 'WordREFERENCE', isn't that much of a solid reference.
If it were, it would at least include 'British' English in the search results (even if lower-down in priority, for example). It doesn't - which is somewhat revisionist and insulting to British people (given that culture is language, in effect).
OK, apart from that, good well-known and trusted site...
Uses Yahoo APIs and Yahoo are pretty poor, but not likely to be an issue in practice...
