Is www.catholicleague.org Safe?

This site is perfectly safe. I find it informative and motivating. It is sad that WOW is being abused by those who feel threatened by conservative viewpoints. If this trend continues it will render WOW itself an untrustworthy site because you will not be able to trust the ratings. I hope this doesn't happen because I use WOW quite often.

Couldn't find anything that was actually untrue, but there's a lot of spin in the news coverage. Although the site properly responds to pointless bashing of the RCC, it also seems bent on sifting through and finding insult where none exists. They also see the erosion of the moral standards held by the RCC as an attack against the RCC itself. So the site isn't EXCLUSIVELY devoted to defending the RCC from attack, but also has an ACTIVE agenda. The site tends to take attacks against the RCC to the opposite extreme, saying that arguments that have some validity, but are stretched, have zero validity, and are fabrications. The site does give a different perspective on the news, but in some cases this perspective does more harm than help. If you do visit, just proceed with some caution regarding their interpretation of the facts. No viruses, no explicit images, but the articles don't mince words in description, so I can understand a low child safety rating, though it isn't really worse than any other news site.

This site has biased content, Religious extremism, and promotes negative attributions to humanity and society. This website is maintained by members of an organization (Catholic Church) who had previously assisted Nazi War Criminals a few decades ago, Discriminant towards Jews a few hundred-years back, and more hundreds of years of forced Proselytizing of Natives of the new world, and suppression of the truths that will destroy the Vatican.

Notice that those who give the site poor marks are simply expressing their own negative views of the Catholic Church, not the site per se. The Catholic League strives to expose and combat erroneous, misleading, or defamatory treatment of the Church in the public sphere.

The purpose of ***** is to defend the Catholic Church. Other commenters have described it as a "hate group" and "leftist" without providing a single example or a shred of proof. Others have labeled it "extremist" and a "facilitator of child abuse". These are the comments of bigots and are flat-out wrong. The organization has (in no uncertain terms) condemned the actions of homosexual priests in the church. This site is deserving of the highest rating. And it is only out of hatefulness or hate for the Catholic Church that poor ratings are given. And on another matter, make no mistake, HHS is out to get the Catholic Church. If it is successful, the rest of Christianity will be next. You can count on reading the truth on this site.

People, don't get fooled! The enemies of Catholic Church and Christianity in general, are giving law ratings to this web-site. I advise you to read its content and judge by yourselves. In short, nothing wrong with this web-site. It just informs, educates and promotes decency, family values and Catholic-Christian morals.

I am a member of the Catholic League, and have used this site for a number of years. I have never had problems using this site or ordering materials. I am puzzled by the low ratings; presumably they are made by those who disagree with the views stated.

The writer(s) of this site are apologists for an organization that systematically shields child abusers from prosecution, opposes women's rights, denounces safe sex practices, and lies to people for money. The Catholic League also uses lawsuits to attack its and the Catholic Church's critics.
