Good trustworthy AV with LinkScanner built-in. Despite some claims, it does serve a purpose of keeping the user safe. Site/server owners should perhaps adjust to the future, instead of complaining.

my only complaint is that it is overly hard to find the page on which you can download the FREE version. They hide it from you and make you spend a lot of time looking for it.

I personally have had a good experience with AVG 8, but hey, I don't now everything. Maybe the other people are right.

AVG 8 rocks!!! the LinkScanner is fine and does not cause any internet traffic jams.

The new version of AVG comes with LinkScanner that loafds heavily the client and the server by scanning all the links on every page - even if the user hasn't clicked them. The software is causing a serious Internet traffic jam and caused capacity problems for web servers and Internet users. Look for alternative products.
