i've received spam to an email address used only on their website

i've had to blacklist the email account solely associated with this site due to the number of phishing, spam and scam emails received: poor security with my details has obviously led to this.

Very informative website and well moderated forum. Been a member for more than 5 years and not once received any unsolicited junk or phishing emails.

i do get a lot of junk mails from an email address only used with them

It would appear that their site was compromised (http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=76204) and that all members' information was accessed by third parties that then sent phishing emails and spam to the email addressed (password were also accessed (which were stored in unencrypted form)). honestjohn.co.uk proceeded to attempt to stop any attempts at discussing the issue or raising the fact that members should be notified of their information being compromised: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?m=919751 http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=79465 http://www.www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=79482 THINK TWICE BEFORE REGISTERING as they appear not to take security issues seriously.
