I called the main headquarters in New York to inquire about how they received my name and address to ship magazines and other unwanted mail to my private address and was met by one of the most disrespectful, snotty, and rude receptionists I have ever heard on the other end of a phone.
I asked her how did they receive my very personal information to give to private companies for profit and was given a stern and snarky "We don't have your personal information!!" Her statement fell flat on it's face for the simple fact that in order for them to give my info to someone.... they would have to have had it in the first place! When I tried to explain this to her she raised her voice, cutting me off mid sentence and repeating herself with a much more offending tone before hanging up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Each of the companies I received unsolicited mail from all said that they received my info from the DMA!
Stay away from this site and this organization in general, or you may soon find you home address in the hands of some unsavory, underhanded and unscrupulous individuals.

The Direct Marketing Association spammed two discrete addresses I own, they apparently purchased them from Wired and Chief Marketer magazines.
They lie like rugs when they say :
"You received this email message at email@example.com due to your membership, participation, or interest in DMA."
