Is xmradio.com Safe?

If this is not the worst customer service in the history of mankind then it is the second worst. Customer Service people do not have a clue how to fix problems, Letters to the company (I only wrote three letters to the company) go unanswered. The company culture seems to lack honesty. I had the service for four years and had two major problems, One with a fully paid one year XM service being cut off after three months (it took a year and letters to their executives to solve that problem) and now a total inability to stop their service. I would rather listen to static on my radio rather than deal with XM and their horrid Customer Service and their Customer Relations people.

XM radio has some good promotions, I had a $5.00/month promotion. However watch out because XM radio will roll you over into a longer, non promotional plan without prior notice. I just noticed that my 6 month expired and saw on my my credit card $402 for a 3 year XM Everything service (btw, their company policy from Oct '09 clearly states in two areas that they would only automatically renew for the previous service's length of time). Customer service was great, did a full refund of the $402 and extended my $5.00/month for another 6 months.

Communication of XM/Sirius since the merge is awful! I had been an XM subscriber for years then they changed so much without so much as an email, letter, nothing. Was going to cancel in July then they talked me into 6 mo. for $20.00 so I accepted. Be wary. Don't trust them and get everything in writing by email.

was happy for years. Than a radio broke and they kept charging me and wouldn't take it off my account. they will lie to you and hangup on you. they keep transfering and hanging up and when I finaly got mad they flat out refused to help me. I sent countless e-mails. It took over a month to cancel all my service now they are trying to charge me for all the time I wasted trying to cancel. Worst customer service anyware.

I do subscribe to XM. (I might be biased.) While I like the service and the convenience of the online player - parents / teachers should know that there is adult content available. Anyone can register for a free 14-day trial, and trial users get access to some of the explicit language channels.
