I mean yeah it is Malware, but everybody answers so boringly (Its malware, etc.) that I have to explain It.
This is Malware (of course). The way it does spread is by going into the search Results. If you download it then it converts all of your search engines to ZapMeta. It also makes your Firewall and other protection weaker to let other Malware undetected in.
Don't Trust Websites that you don't know.

It appears to be a decent meta crawler. They do have a privacy policy and an about us page which seem to be legitimate. They also have a faq and contact us page. If search results contain an untrusted site, then you may be exposed to risks, but that is out of their control, as explained on their disclaimer page. Being based out of the Netherlands, you should proceed with caution.
