Is zendough.com Safe?

I have been a member of this site for quite some time, it is very useful in monitoring my credit...especially for those (like me) who are not so credit savvy. As far as I know, you don't HAVE to do or pay anything. If you don't want to try their trial offer because YOU don't trust yourself to call and cancel after 14 days; don't give them any information. If you do; either make sure you cancel or take full advantage of being able to check all three of your credit reports, as well as minor to major information and your credit score. In closing, to the "weird fake chat"- I have spoken with live customer service reps and to "waste all that time signing up and then cancelling"- to some people it is very necessary to know one's own credit standing.

You don't get a "free" credit report unless you sign up for a 7-day "free" trial of a $15/month service. You can cancel during the 7-day trial - but you have to give payment info anyway. Having to spend time signing up and then canceling, makes it not "free."

Like all credit monitoring and report sites, yes, you have to enter a credit card for a trial, and yes, you have to call customer service to cancel. However, this is all in the agreement. Whenever you go to a site such as this, spend the extra time, read and fully understand the agreement. I see no scam here, just things that you should normally read since it is a financial/credit reporting site.

I didn't have any problems with this website. It's a part of Transunion and in response to the other commenters: Calling in is not a hassle, the world is 100% computerized -- which is a good thing, I like that there are telephone #s to contact a website. And when I exited the website I got no such pop up for chat help.

This site is one fine print away from being a total scam. It forces you to enter in a credit card to sign up for a trial (which I did just to see how good it really was). Unfortunately they do not let you cancel online, and force you to call in to customer service which is always a hassle.
