This had to be deleted on my older computer. It kept sending messages non-stop about how it has a "new upgrade". We looked it up (we meaning me and my dad), and it was apparently very large in the malware-wold.

ZipCloud installs itself automatically in your applications and opens a window on loggin that encourages you to open an account or log in.
It is extremely difficult to uninstall and the instructions for uninstalling on the site don't work.

Zipcloud was installed forcibly with Frostwire file-sharing client. Also wants access to the Safari Extensions, which makes it install "searchtab", which has no further description. It seems this extention is being snuck in "under the radar" while the Safari (& other browsers) start page and search pages are changed to Yahoo).
Additionally, Apple extensions directory does NOT liste a "searchtab" under their Safari extensions, which strengthens my assumption that this is illegit if not outright malicious.
Uninstall and avoid!

Offers are just baits. Besides hidden extras (for external drive, for large files etc) if you subscribe to a 1-year-offer you'll discover it expires after a couple of months. A kind of "double or lose you data".

On the startpage I got the impression that its free and unlimited. Its not. Only 15mb storage is free. Don't use it if you're looking for a free solution
