The site has become increasingly undependable. Watch out for well-established trolls.
Utile
One of the best websites for reporting sketchy callers and suspicious phone numbers. Scammers hate it and have been trying to DOS 800notes for years, as well as libeling it and its founder (in fact, Julia Forte is no longer involved in active operation of 800notes).
800notes has a dedicated group of regulars and mods who clear the site of trolls, scammers, spammers and shills.
Utile
After submitting some information , several staff people called me names and insulted my ethnicity. They tried to say I was some scam to control some damage and I don't even understand what they were talking about, but it was not what I posted.

The effectiveness of 800notes is evidenced by the butthurt of scammers and trolls (e.g.,"800nuts") who whine about how cruuuuel 800notes is to them! Keep up the good work, 800notes!

The site displays insulting, foul language and inappropriate links to pornographic material by visitors posting reports on phone calls. People are allowed to post anything anonymously without registration and many foul posts remain.

Generally speaking 800notes comes in handy for looking up calls from unfamiliar numbers.

It at first appears to be a good site to check the unfamiliar numbers that make repeated calls. However, like fleas in carpet, there is a multitude of obnoxious, ill-mannered, resident trolls ...a bonus that some get for using the site. I have some suspicion that, in reality, it may be just a few half-witted individuals with multiple personalities. These trolls hang around and jump in to criticize and do a verbal swarming on comments left by certain people. The attacks usually start out with one person (or personality) criticizing the posted comment and when that person (personality) is challenged other people (personalities) come in and attack the poster in support of the first attacker. Then the intelligent challenges, to these dim-witted trolls - get deleted by the owner, but the venomous comments of the trolls are left untouched. The action by the owner makes me very suspicious of the site. And who, in their right mind, sits around waiting to make dim-witted comments on postings to a website that's sole purpose is to find out about/report scams/scammers/harassing/repeated annoying phone calls?

This used to be a great site. While the information is still useful; if anyone mentions ***** to keep scam calls out; she blocks the comment.
I am giving it a mixed review, in the past I gave it an excellent rating.

Site has recently attracting trolls as evidence that schemes are being exposed, and they are scared, making me wonder why they are so attracted to 800 notes.

Yuliya Karelina AKA Julia Forte is the Manager and Founder of 800Notes.com. She is also associated with several other domains. Whocallsme.com, Phoneowner.info, Complaintwire.org, ***** (Octonet LLC), deallions.com. On first appearance she seems to run a website dedicated to exposing scammers, telemarketers and so forth.
On second appearance there are numerous complaints and there have been several lawsuits filed against Ms. Karelina (AKA Forte). Here are links to some beginning with Ripoff Report.

This is a spam site, it posts unreliable information and then syndicates it to other sites.
