This business sells official looking ID and certification to anyone for a fee. They do not train service dogs, evaluate, insure, or stand behind them. What they do is mislead the public into thinking they are official identification and that therefore the animal in question is an official service dog. Their services are widely used by pet owners who are violating the law in passing off their pets as service animals and they make life more difficult for real people with disabilities who use service animals by 1. teaching businesses to expect official looking ID (even though there is no such thing) and 2. teaching businesses that badly behaved animals are actual service animals. Neither of which is true.

I do not agree with the other comment on WOT about SARS - the Service Animal Registry of America. As a LEGITIMATE Service Dog owner/user --whose dog was trained through me (a former dog trainer before the my pane crash that injured me) with the help of Asistance Dogs International and "TEAMWORK", an organization started to help the disabled follow all regulations associated with the ADA laws of service dog partnership -- I can attest that this site is NOT breaking any ADA law to my knowledge and I have used their services. The law that governs service dog use is the ADA- the Americans with Disability Act. According to the ADA : (From DeltaSociety.org) "Legally, a service animal cannot be required to wear equipment or special identifying ^uniform.^The ADA does not limit the type of disability for which a service animal can be used, or the species of animal that can qualify as a service animal. The ADA prohibits places of public accommodation FROM REQUIRING PROOF (((emphasis added))) or “certification” of the service animal’s training. State laws that require identification be shown are out of compliance with the ADA..." See? The ADA does NOT require registration or certification of ANY KIND for service dogs and their handlers! BUT... it makes it easier for disabled persons using service dogs to be able to show something to the business or individual questioning the ability of access for animals to see something SINCE THEY ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH TH ADA THEMSELVES. The cards issued by SARA state that this certification IS NOT required by the federal law and that this handler is volunteering any info at all on the dog for the convenience of the business. SARA the business here at affluent.net - will issue and registry number - from their OWN registry log - not pretending that it is something from the government since it is not, and ON THE HONOR SYSTEM WITH THE SERVICE DOG OWNER/USER - stating that this service dog and honor have VOLUNTARILY chosen to purchase an ID to make it easier to show business and /or individuals that this dog has been trained and is being used CURRENTLY as a service dog. AGAin, the ADA requires NO identification, certification or registration for a working service dog and their handler but DOES demand that the handlers be treated with respect and not judged overtly or made to answer ANY questions about their disabilities - especially in cases such as invisible illnesses (such as chronic pain, cancer and like many Veterans coming home from the war, PTSD.) since all considered disabled are covered under the ADA. Please reconsider your horrible rating of this site since it has been based on bad, incorrect information. Thank you

This website encourages people to break the law by bringing untrained and even potentially dangerous pets into public places. It makes it very hard for people with legitimate service dogs to take their dogs to where they need help.
