A site that is supposedly honorable and clean shouldn't need to SNEAK entries into your PC's registry. EVERY SINGLE TIME I do a scan with S&D or AdAware Pro, I find registry entries from Alexa, or which are "Alexa-related." I haven't a clue what "Alexa-related" even MEANS.
My registry is NOT a parade ground for just anybody's modifications to slither in, without my knowledge.
We wouldn't even NEED NoScript or WOT, if sites behaved like civilized and responsible human beings. (Meanwhile, though, I have nothing but praise for NoScript and WOT.)
If ANY site, company, or anyone ELSE wants to put registry entries in your PC, they should be required to ASK PERMISSION, and fully describe, for we who OWN those registries, precisely what the entry will DO, if we accept it. They can add what we'd be "missing out on" too, if they like. It's a pretty sad world when the registries on our OWN PCs are not ours to control.
Take a vote. How many of you AGREE?
Let's take another vote about what we should DO to companies who allow scripts and cookies to be plunked onto our systems. Even if the site does no plunking, it has a responsibility to protect us against the services they utilize which WILL plunk.
Okay, vote on that, too. Do you AGREE with me?
Vote for 1 yes or no

It's about time that online businesses of all kinds can play fast and loose with OUR PCs. Let's demand an end to it. Wall Street isn't the only bunch of crooks and liars floating around, y'know.
Demand ACCOUNTABILITY online!
When selling online craigslist has been instrumental for local businesses. But, if you are not accepting credit cards you could be making a big mistake.
