Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, and more. Whilst this site itself IS free of infection and malware, sites which it provides pages links for, may not be. Currently, there are 2 sites blacklisting this archive for that reason. Замечательный и очень ценный сайт. Жаль, что роскомнадзор его запретил. Я могу зайти только в незащищённом соединении http://archive.org/web/ И даже так войти в аккаунт уже не могу. Однако сохранять страницы можно. Недостаток - иногда сохранённые страницы пропадают. Мне непонятен этот глюк. Страницы уже нельзя найти в поиске, но по ссылке обычно копия открывается.

One has to be careful of this site, not because it's malicious, but because it's an archive of everything on the internet. Jihadi groups publish their controversial videos here, which are taken down whenever it's brought to the archive's knowledge. Still kids can pick them up from social media and see before taken down. Some are recruitement videos, others are violent (beheadings etc.)

Very valuable site for old web pages- e.g. dead ones and to see past changes to such pages. Using a Mac with the Little Snitch network monitoring app, I have never detected any tracking or other untoward network activity related to archive.org itself but, understandably, that's not always the case once one loads an archived site.
