This site is loosely affiliated with jesus-is-savior and biblebelievers, two similar sites with much deserved bad reputations. But this site takes great pains to avoid most of the absurd and rabid nonsense that can be found there. For instance, they specify that any opposition to Zionism should never spill over into anti-Semitism. However, there is a great deal of material that is factually inaccurate, it indulges in numerology to prove that the word "allah" is the mark of the beast, although Arabic Christians use this word, and older english Korans used the word "God". That method has been applied to everyone from Nero to Napoleon, and is out of character for the Bible. He also asserts that the "Christian Origin Theory" of the Dead Sea Scrolls is a fact when it is not. (see ***** It's surprising that he fuses KJV-onlyism with an opposition to Catholicism. The King James Bible was translated by Anglican Churchmen (who belonged to a religion which prides itself as sitting on the fence as regards Protestantism and Catholicism - ***** It should also be noted that King James believed that Jesus was literally present in the communion host, and for this reason wanted his Presbyterian subjects to kneel before it. He also sent a Baptist named Thomas Helwys to prison for the remainder of his life, and had the Baptist Edward Wightman burned at the stake for heresy. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_I_of_England_and_religious_issues#Pur...) This is a telling quote "If you do not burn your NIV, NASB, New KJV, or whatever other slop hog filthy piece of excretion you are reading instead of the King James Bible, YOU ARE GOING TO HELL. I am delighted too, for I would not want to spend eternity with an ass who wandered around heaven forever jabbering about how foolish the Gospel is. I suppose you will stand before the throne of God one day and say, "Holy Father, I praise you that I am saved by your foolish Gospel and your foolish Son, Jesus Christ." "- this is in response to cherry picking a verse from 1 Cor 1:21, without considering that these meant to describe it as foolishness IN THE EYES OF those described in verse 20. You may also have noticed that he overlooked Proverbs 24:17. Another tired argument " There have been many English translations but only one that was authorized by a king." citing Deut 17:18 without considering the distinction between God's anointed king in Israel, and the king of ENGLAND, whose Bible was made, according to the "epistle dedicatory", for The Church of England, or Anglican Church, which exists to this day, and to which this fellow has no affiliation whatsoever. Spanish speaking Anglicans certainly don't use the KJV, nor are they required to do so by the religion (Anglicanism) that James I was a devout member of. Here is another oft-used argument " The King James Bible is the easiest to read of all the translations available. According to the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level Indicator the KJB is rated at a 5.8 Grade level (The NIV 8.4, NASB 6.1, TEV 7.2, NKJV 6.9)." It has also been insisted by Muslims that, by hooking up the Koran to a computer, they "proved" that it was from God. Anyone who owns a KJV (which is essentially every reading english speaking person) knows that it isn't the easiest to read, regardless of what a computer program says. He also claims that the KJV only position is "very old" dating to the 19th Century. In the 17th century, when it was composed, the translators did not consider their translation of the inspired word to be ITSELF the inspired word. You can see this simply by reading their preface: ***** . This site is probably the best of its kind, but it is still filled with spurious and reactionary material, and cannot be relied upon as an authority. There is ZERO pornographic material, essentially no profanity (which is unusual) and no viruses to speak of.
