Installs a Trojan. Even if you do not install the toolbar. My antispy said it tried to start a process disguised as "taskmgr.exe".
If you don't install the toolbar the program will not function.
Anything run by whois is suspect. Apparently that's the RIAA people looking for copyright violators, and breaking the law themselves in the process.

Ce site propose des logiciels de traitement vidéo. Mais l'installation propose d'installer OpenCandy, une icone Ebay et même AskToolbar, en plus de violer la licence GPL. Il y a eu une longue discussion sur ***** portant sur ces logiciels (http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-14321759-le-temps-d-ajout-d-un-logiciel-sur-ccm). Ce site ne mérite pas d'avoir une bonne note. IL N'EST PAS FIABLE, LES LOGICIELS NON PLUS.

Utilizo os aplicativos e tutoriais deste site e nunca tive nenhum problema.

Installs: Ask Toolbar, OpenCandy (which is classified as "malware" by hpHosts and malwaredomains) and an eBay Icon.
Although the programs work as advertised, they install a lot of crap.
I do not recommend these software.
You should use WinFF, Handbrake and other free clean tools instead.
Their progam use several opensource tools (ffmpeg, SDL, AVCodec...) and infringe the GPL:
- the source code of their program is not provided.
- the GPL is not displayed
- the opensource program used are not credited.
Here is a discussion with the authors of these programs (in french, but they seem to be russian):

You don't have to download the ASK toolbar thingie.
Best site I know. I use it a lot for media and it's totally superb! There are loads of options when converting stuff and you don't have to pay a thing!
