Le site forbes.com est-il sûr ?

Site requires disabling adblock and has an overwhelming truckload of trackers that could cause Ghostery to crash. Apparently also guilty of massive rating manipulation because the rating is still green despite it having hundreds of trackers and severe privacy risks, and other obvious evidence that the site is shady. Deep red.

First. This site asks you to turn off add blockers to experience "better" their page. I did turn off my Ghostery blocker and a ton of trackers popped up in the results box. I was next taken to a completely different site w no prompting. In my history there is an icon and only say's Internet Customer. The page was of a very low end quality for what you'd think this Forbes site would have. Page overall looks strange. Under the word Forbes is a note, "join us for an exclusive webcast on social security" There were small photos to click through, they changed VERY slow. The social media share logo/icons are low quality and you would not expect this page to be like this at all. More pop up windows click here, click here.. Thus, my comments. Something is phishy.

I was trying to read the article when a video popped right between me and what I was reading. That ended any potential relationship with Forbes blog. The people that do this, know it is irritating, yet they do it anyway. That is the rudest of the rude. To do something annoying, know it and keep doing it.

***** utilizes an adblock wall that prevents browsers with ad-blocking active from viewing content without first disabling the adblocker or whitelisting the site. I don't mind being nagged about ad-blocking, but completely blocking my access to the site unless I open myself up to whatever ad trackers they may have contracted with thoroughly destroys any sense of trust I might have in the company. Furthermore, when I attempted to send the site an email about the policy, the message bounced, because the email address they provide for site issues blocks incoming mail by whitelist—meaning that unless your email address is on their approved senders list, your email will not go through. That goes beyond absurd. Regardless of the overall company reputation, their web site is demonstrably untrustworthy.

Blocks it's pages from being viewable via Google Cache or archive pages. Blocks off anyone using ad blockers or even simply having DoubleClick unreachable due to DNS or other issues. Does not seem to moderate their ads anyhow, meaning that you get outright malicious **** for daring to read an article on Forbes and not elsewhere.
